Brianna Taylor (born May 30, 1987) is a reality television presenter, singer, and songwriter who appeared on both American Idol and The Real World: Hollywood, the twentieth season of MTV's long-running reality television series The Real World.

Early life
Taylor is of African, German, and Puerto Rican descent. Brianna and her sibling, Victoria, were raised by her mother, Yvonne, as a single parent. They lived in Mount Airy's neighborhood before moving to Warrington Township.
Taylor attended Central Bucks High School East in Buckingham Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, graduating in 2005.
Career
Taylor never took singing lessons; her grandmother was her vocal coach. She auditioned for American Idol, the country's most well-known singing competition, after having gained experience at weddings and shopping malls, and then fell to the bottom of the Top 44 before being eventually dropped.
Taylor was an exotic dancer at two years at Double Visions in Horsham Township, Pennsylvania, near Philadelphia, before auditioning for The Real World and later being cast in its 20th anniversary season. Taylor penned a turbulent relationship with an ex-boyfriend while living in Philadelphia, and a violent argument culminated in Taylor's detention and eventual guilty plea to a reduced charge of harassment. On her season of The Real World, the episode's aftermath can be seen. In the third episode of the season, she admits she had suffered with crystal methamphetamine and cocaine as recently as two months before being cast on the program.
Brianna develops an interest for fellow roommate Joey Kovar, but is later disturbed by how he behaves while intoxicated. She and roommate Will Gilbert also returned to Philadelphia to address her legal issues during that season, as well as performing live with Alex Band, formerly of the band The Calling. She is also given a song by Matthew Bair of the powerpop band Bandcamp in the show.
Brianna Taylor, Taylor's debut self-titled EP, was co-produced by Tomas Costanza of the band Diffuser and Matthew Bair, who is now a guitarist with Eve 6. In 2008, "Summertime" was the first single released. Brianna's self-titled EP was the 16th most-purchased album on iTunes as of July 22, 2008, with over 60,000 copies sold.
