Brent Smith Career

Career

Smith had a high school band called Blind Thought and later was the lead singer in a band called Dreve, which Atlantic Records had signed. Brent Brent was compelled by Atlantic Records to find another band or lose his license. Desmond Child, a well-known producer, then moved to Los Angeles, California, to record with him. Atlantic dropped the band shortly after returning home to Knoxville, Tennessee, but retained Smith. Shinedown came shortly after. Atlantic Records gave him a developmental deal right away. In 2001, Smith moved to Jacksonville, Florida, and started working on the project.

Brad Stewart, a local Jacksonville music producer Pete Thornton, was the first person he recruited. Smith and Stewart began recording demos together in a small local studio, where their boss, guitarist Jasin Todd, was invited to speak with her fiancé, who was incorporated as the third person. Drummer Barry Kerch, the band's seventh drummer, had auditioned for the position, was voted out of the original lineup. The four performers collaborated on demos and submitted their work-in-progress video to Atlantic, who accepted the work and released a full-length album. Leave a Whisper, the band's debut album, was released on May 27, 2003. The album was eventually certified platinum by the Royal Institute of British Architects in the United States, indicating that it had more than one million units. Shinedown has since released six more studio albums: Us and Them (2005), The Sound of Madness (2008), Amaryllis (2006), Threat to Survivor (2006), and Planet Zero (2022). Smith & Myers, acoustic duo, started in 2014 with Smith and Zach Myers.

In early 2016, the band began recording their sixth album, as they announced in an interview with Wes Styles of the 97.7 WQLZ radio station. Attention Attention, a collection of hits, was released on May 4, 2018. "Devil," the album's first single, was released on March 7, 2018. Brent was given a key to Knox County by former wrestler and current Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs on August 28th, 2022.

At a town hall in AOC, migrants, drag queens, and the debt ceiling were all mocked

www.dailymail.co.uk, May 27, 2023
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's town hall meeting on Friday night turned into farce as the firebrand was described as a "piece of sh*t" and praised for her views on Ukraine, migrants, drag queen stories, and the debt ceiling were lowered. The meeting was held in the Corona neighborhood, AOC's constituency. Her constituents were not upbeat when the town hall transitioned to the question and answer stage. One heckler yelled, 'American citizens before migrants.' Some chanted: 'America first.' Another yelled: "We are on the brink of nuclear war with Russia." Are you going to stop this war?' According to a video obtained by conservative advocacy group Freedom News TV, a second man yelled at another.

AOC slammed for mocking protesters chanting 'AOC has to go' by dancing along at NYC town hall event

www.dailymail.co.uk, October 20, 2022
Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tried to shake off the haters at a Wednesday evening town hall event where she was met with chants of 'AOC has got to go!' At a town hall in Queens, protesters confronted the second-term congresswoman. The gruesome congresswoman brushed off the vehement abuse as she sipped from a water bottle and began to move her shoulders in beat with the chants.
