Breanna Nicole Yde (born June 11, 2003) is an American child actor best known for playing Frankie Hathaway in the television film The Haunted Hathaways, Tomika on School of Rock, Zoey, and Akimi in Escape from Mr. Lemoncello's Library.
Early life
Yde was born in Sydney, Australia. She migrated to Los Angeles, California, at the age of two. She is a dual citizen of both the United States and Australia. Her family moved to Rancho Santa Fe, California, in 2008, and she began teaching acting and singing lessons at the age 6 the next year. In 2012, she and her family returned to Los Angeles to further pursue acting roles.
Career
Yde appeared in the film Level 26: Dark Prophecy in 2009. How I Met Your Mother, a television program, starred her in 2011. Among McDonald's, AT&T, Toyota, and others, there were other early acting gigs. Frankie Hathaway appeared on the Nickelodeon series The Haunted Hathaways in 2012. Santa Hunters, a Nickelodeon television film, premiered in 2014. Tomika on School of Rock, another Nickelodeon series based on the 2003 film of the same name, began in 2016. In 2017, she was nominated for the Kids' Choice Award for Favorite Female TV Star for her role as Tomika. School of Rock aired for three seasons, but it came to an end in 2018.
During her time on School of Rock, she appeared on Ronnie Anne on Nickelodeon's animated series The Loud House and also appeared in the Nickelodeon television film Escape from Mr. Lemoncello's Library. Mariah Carey's All I Want For Christmas Is You in 2017 starred Young Mariah for the animated film. In 2019, Yde appeared in the Netflix film Malibu Rescue as Gina. The film was followed by a series of the same name in which Yde reprised her role. Gina appeared in a second film, Malibu Rescue: The Next Wave, which was released by Netflix in August 2020.
Yde began collaborating with pop songwriter Justin Tranter, and she and her co-writer "Stopped Buying Diamonds" and "BlindLife" in 2020 under the mononym YDE. In December 20, she appeared as Sophia with Idina Menzel in a performance of WILD: A Musical Becoming staged at the American Repertory Theater in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She debuted new singles from her debut EP, SEND HELP, in 2022, on which she appears as the executive producer and primary songwriter. Warner Records' EP was released on September 9, 2022.
