Bradford Gates Rutter (born January 31, 1978) is an American game show contestant, television host, and actor.

He is the highest-earning contestant of all time and the highest-earning contestant (mainly from special tournament events) on the United States syndicated game show Jeopardy! Rutter has never lost a Jeopardy in 21 regular season and tournament games. Match against a human being (though he twice trailed at the end of the first game of a two-day tournament match before coming back to win).

Both Rutter and Ken Jennings (another holder of the all-time money record for Jeopardy) broke the 2011 all-time money record for Jeopardy. In a two-day exhibition match against an IBM computer platform designed specifically to compete on Jeopardy, both for game shows) was defeated. Watson.

Early life

Rutter is a 1995 graduate of Manheim Township High School in Neffsville, Pennsylvania, where he was a member of the quiz bowl team. At the 1994 Texaco Star National Academic Championships, the team took second place. In its 25-year history, he is one of 19 people to have been inducted into the National Academic Championship Hall of Fame. He announced the establishment of a scholarship fund in honor of Anne Clouser, the former high-school quiz bowl coach.

Rutter characterized himself as a slacker in class and a Johns Hopkins dropout (although there, he studied English). He worked at the Lancaster Coconuts record store before his success on Jeopardy!

Personal life

Rutter was born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, where he hosted InQuizitive, a local television quiz show for high school students, until 2009. He has served as both a reader and judge for the National Academic Championships in high school. He now lives in Los Angeles, where he is also interested in acting.

Rutter has been a Philadelphia Eagles fan for a lifetime. During the Final Jeopardy, he gave the Eagles a shout-out.
