Brad Culpepper Life

John Broward "Brad" Culpepper (born May 8, 1969) is an American former professional football player who competed for nine seasons in the National Football League (NFL) from 1990 to 2000.

When Culpepper played college football for the Florida Gators, he was regarded as an All-American.

He was drafted in the tenth round of the 1992 NFL Draft, making him a consistent starter for the Minnesota Vikings, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Chicago Bears. Culpepper has also appeared on two seasons of the American reality television show Survivor, including Blood vs. Water and Survivor: Game Changers.

Early life

In 1969, Culpepper was born in Tallahassee, Florida. He attended Leon High School in Tallahassee, where he was a key prep player for the Leon Lions high school football team.

Culpepper was born into a family of University of Florida graduates. Bruce Culpepper, Jr., was a center for the Gators football team from 1960 to 1962, co-captain of their 1962 Gator Bowl team, and then became a well-known Tallahassee attorney. Blair Culpepper, the uncle of George Culpepper, was a fullback in 1957 and 1958 and became a bank president in Winter Park, Florida. J. Broward Culpepper, his grandfather, was a Florida native and served as the chancellor of the State University System of Florida.

Life after football

Culpepper is now a trial advocate for the Culpepper Kurland law firm in Tampa, Florida. Since his retirement, he has voiced his dissatisfaction with NFL players' increasing size; he claims that the increasing number of 300-pound (140 kg) players has caused significant health issues. Culpepper inflated his body to 280 pounds (130 kg) during his football career; after he retired from professional football, he shed almost 100 pounds (45 kg).

Monica Culpepper's wife was selected as a participant in the 24th season of CBS reality television show Survivor prior to his appearances.

Monica and Brad appeared together in the show's 27th season of Survivor: Blood vs. Water. While Monica was the season's runner-up, Culpepper was the sixth player to be banned from the game and ended in 15th position.

Culpepper was one of 16 former male players eligible to vote in Survivor's 31st season, Survivor: Cambodia, on May 6, 2015. However, he was not voted on it.

Culpepper was announced on February 8, 2017 as one of the contestants competing in Survivor: Game Changers, the show's 34th season, which premiered in March 2017. During Culpepper's second season, he played very consistently and stayed loyal to his his clubs, despite being in the minority for the majority. However, he won five individual immunity challenges at his endgame, a feat shared only by a few other top Survivors, which sent him to the Final Three with Sarah Lacina and "Troyzan" Robertson. Although Culpepper's good social game and was a leading threat, he became more reckless and made some remarks against Tai Trang, whom other players regarded as condescending in the last few days. Aubry Bracco, a fellow tribemate, appeared on YouTube, implying that she had reservations about voting for Brad Brad to win because of his "racist and sexist tendencies." The jury favored Lacina's inventive tactical and social games over Culpepper's physical dominance, and she was given the honor of "Sole Survivor" in a 7–3–0 vote. Culpepper was ranked third in the first three votes, making him the runner-up.

Personal life

When Culpepper first arrived at the University of Florida in 1990, he met Monica Frakes as a sophomore. The couple married only weeks after Culpepper was recruited into the NFL in 1992. The couple have three children together. Rex, the family's oldest son, was a quarterback at Syracuse University, and their other son, Judge Jason, is a defensive lineman at Penn State. He and his partner, Monica, are the only Survivor pair to win in separate seasons. Interestingly, Monica and Brad in Survivor: Blood vs. Water and Brad won this feat in their second time playing the game. Amber Brkich, the only couple to have won Survivor, is similar to Rob Mariano and Amber Brkich of Survivor: Redemption Island, Survivor.
