Career

In the 1996 film City Hall, Somerville's first acting work was as an extra. Lyne Danner appeared in the CBS miniseries Shake, Rattle, and Roll: An American Love Story (1999), in which she also performed. Somerville appeared in the series Grosse Pointe on The WB from September 2000 to February 2001. The series followed the development of a fictitious WB nighttime soap, also named Grosse Pointe, and several characters were based on true-life actors. In the eighth season of the NBC sitcom Friends, Somerville played Ross Geller's wife Mona. She appeared in Bedazzled (2000), Spider-Man 2 (2004), and Without a Paddle (2004).

Rachel Hoffman, a former employee of Sandy Cohen, appeared on Fox's first season of the teen drama series "The O.C.," in 2003. The magazine's November 2005 issue features the front page, as well as the magazine's September 2005 issue. Somerville appeared in the short-lived sitcom Kitchen Confidential opposite Bradley Cooper in 2005. She appeared in Det's final season. Laura Murphy appears in fifteen episodes.
