Ackquille Jean Pollard, nicknamed Bobby Shmurda informally, is an American rapper.
After his album "Hot Nigga" peaked at number 6 on the US Billboard Hot 100 in 2014, he signed a deal with Epic Records.
Shmurda was arrested by New York City Police on December 18, 2014, on suspicion of murder conspiracy, weapon control, and reckless endangerment.

Early life
Ackquille Pollard was born in Miami, Florida. His mother is an African-American and his father is a Jamaican. Since his father's detention, his mother moved to East Flatbush, Florida. While living in Brooklyn, Pollard had run-ins with the legislation, including fifteen months in jail for a probation infraction and being arrested on gun charges that were later dropped. Pollard, the ringleader of a criminal enterprise named "GS9" that regularly clashed with criminal gangs, was charged with murders and non-fatal shootings, and engaged in drug trafficking along the Kings Highway to East Flatbush, according to his 2014 indictment.
