Career

He began working as a composer and audio engineer in the advertising industry after graduating from university. His music has been used in feature and short films as well as national and international advertising for spirits companies, such as Smirnoff, BMW, and television and film companies, as well as national and international advertisements for alcohol firms, such as Discovery Channel, National Geographic Channel, and Touchstone Pictures. He has released four albums since 1978 (Solo), "The Sea Brings Rivalry," finds May as part of the duo "Coming Up For Air" and "Solar." Finding May's self-titled album had a lot of commercial success with songs that were licensed for use in high-profile TV shows and advertisements. Arnott's "Rain Hail or Shine" was used in all of their commercials in 2009, but Origin Energy's "Join In" was used in a TV commercial for Origin Energy, which received the MADC for "Best use of a song in advertising 2009.

The theme song for Jetstar in Australia, "Finding May," was also created and performed.

MOOG composed, recorded, and produced the soundtrack to the MightyCarMods film "Kei to the City" in March 2014. This soundtrack album became Australia's most downloaded electronic album and surpassed the number one most downloaded electronic album in Canada and Australia.

He composed, recorded, and produced the songs for the National Geographic Channel's series "Tales by Light" in 2015. His music for this collection was described as capturing the essence of the images with pure beauty.
