With the blessing of the local Labour council, a grid of seven streets in Kemptown near the seafront will be cordoned off for a 'Pride Village Party' connected to the 'Fabuloso' two-day festival in Preston Park on August 2 and 3. Revellers will pay £15 a head to access the entertainment zone of bars, venues and eateries, for what organisers promise will be 'an unforgettable weekend of fundraising celebrations'. Brighton Pride attracts an estimated 500,000 people to the city and is estimated to contribute about £30million to the local economy each year. But some of those who live in the fenced-off streets or run businesses there  say they are being 'illegally' stripped of their civil rights for the duration of the event.

In Washington, D.C., some of the top names in music, from the classic to experimental, were assembled in Washington, D.C. to honor Elton John and his longtime songwriting partner Bernie Taupin. The pair, who have been writing together since answering an NME advertisement in 1967, were awarded the prestigious Gershwin Prize For Popular Song f or their collaboration, contributions to songwriting, and contribution to the craftwork of songwriting. On Wednesday, John and Taupin, the nation's Capital, were back together for an all-star tribute concert at DAR Constitution Hall in the Nation's Capital one day after having dinner. The Broadway star, as well as 2023 Gershwin Prize winner Joni Mitchell, Brandi Carlile, Metallica, Maren Morris, Charlie Puth, and Jacob Lusk of Gabriels, as well as Billy Porter as host of the festivities, led the parade and performance, which also included 2023 Gershwin Prize winners, Joni Mitchell, 2023 Gershwin Prize Laurees, along with Jeremy Lennox, Brandi Carlile, Metallica, Maren Morris According to the Library Of Congress newsroom website, the evening's honorees John and Taupin will appear at the Library Of Congress' website.

Since launching his self-titled luxury fashion business, RVDK designer Ronald van der Kemp has adorned some of the finest A-list celebrities in the decade, but there is one exception who still pays full price for his couture creations. On the February 15th episode of Mosha Lundström Halbert's podcast NEWSFASH, the Dutch 59-year-old dished: "I must say, she's my hero." She is the only artist in the United States who will offer full couture prices when she wants something.'
