Billy's interactions with Derek, according to Kate, 36, who was the Commonwealth Young Carers Ambassador since 2023, was 'a credit' to him. Derek, a political lobbyist, died in January at the age of 56 following a long fight with Covid and a heart attack in the previous month. Fern Britton speculated at a return to This Morning on Wednesday afternoon, fifteen years after she abruptly dropped from the show, as she talked with Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard, the veteran TV presenter, as she discussed her latest appearance on Celebrity Big Brother. It was a familiar territory for Britton, 66, who appeared on the program from 1993 to Phillip Schofield's departure in 2009 as a full time host.
