Bel Pesce Life

Isabel Pesce Mattos (born 20 February 1988), better known as Bel Pesce, is a Brazilian entrepreneuse best known as a writer and lecturer.

Pesce was born in So Paulo and studied at MIT, where she earned degrees in Electrical Engineering / Computer Science, and Management Science. (the "Girl from Silicon Valley" is often described).

She began her career in information technology, serving as an intern for Microsoft and Google and later for Deutsche Bank.

Despite being listed as one of the top 100 most influential people in Brazil by Epoca magazine, her credentials have been questioned, and reports that she created the video platform Ooyala and Lemon Wallet were disproved.

Izzy Nobre and Felipe Neto Neto were two of Ooyala's early days as a product manager and later president of Lemon's commercial growth.

A Menina do Vale (The Girl from the Valley), a free e-book that launched her career as an inspirational speaker and writer as well as a TED fellow, was published in 2012.

She founded FazINOVA, which "instills professional and personal growth through entrepreneurial values," and launched the BeDream app in 2013.

She was named the 2014 Laureate for Latin America in the Cartier Women's Initiative Awards, as a result of these achievements.

She was one of the BBC's Top 100 Women in 2015 when she was named one of the BBC's 100 Women of the Year.
