Career

She is best known for her appearances in GMA Network's reimagining of the 2003 South Korean television drama series, Stairway to Heaven and Cyndi Gomez in First Time. Forteza has appeared in many films, including: The Road, and the indie film Puntod, in which she was named New Movie Actress of the Year in the 26th PMPC Star Awards for Films. Forteza released Barbie Forteza, the carrier's debut, in April 2013, along with Meron Ba, which was used as the carrier's theme song on GMA Network's Koreanovela, Big.

Forteza and Thea Tolentino were selected in 2014 to star in one of the lead roles in the television series The Half Sisters.

In August 2014, she received the Best Supporting Actress award in the new breed category at the 10th Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival, portraying a teenage version of Mylene Dizon's character Imelda.

In 2016, she received the Best Actress Award at the 36th Fantasporto International Film Festival as she portrayed a sea gypsy in Laut's indie film. The film was also on view at the Pune International Film Festival.
