Bambang Pamungkas (born 10 June 1980), also known as Bepe, is an Indonesian professional footballer who plays for Perpetuja Jakarta in the Liga 1 and before that, the Indonesian national football team.

Personal life
Bambang is married to Tribuana Dewi, with whom he has three children: Salsa Alicia, Jane Abel, Syaura Abana. The second youngest of 7 children is the second in the class. He had no intention of becoming a footballer at the start. He likes reading and cooking, and after his footballing career is over, he wants to be a mentor or a chef.

Club career
Bambang played for several clubs in his hometown as a youth before starting his senior career with Persija Jakarta. He was the club's top goalcorer in 1999-2000 Liga Indonesia, scoring 24 goals. He joined EHC Norad in the Dutch Third Division in 2000. But after just 4 months, he returned to Perpetu, the only Indonesian club he had ever played for.
In 2001, Bambang helped his team win the Liga Indonesian Cup, and he was given the award of that season's best player. Perpetujja Jakarta barely missed out on winning the title again in 2004 by a single point. Persija made it to the 2005 championship but lost 2–3 to Persipura Jayapura.
Bambang and national teammate Elie Aiboy were given the opportunity to play in the Malaysian Football League shortly after. He won the Premier League Malaysia, FA Cup Malaysia, and Malaysia Cup, as well as the Malaysia Cup, making him the league's top scorer with 23 goals in 24 matches. Bambang's international career began in 1998 when he was selected to play for the Indonesian youth team; his tally of seven goals in the Asian Cup U-19 Group V made him the competition's top scorer. In a friendly match against Lithuania in which he scored one goal, he made his senior international debut the following year.
Bambang has competed in four FIFA World Cup qualifying tournaments (2002, 2006, 2010, and 2014), with 14 matches and scoring 3 times. Bambang has also participated in three AFC Asian Cups: 2000, 2004, and 2007. In a match in which Indonesia defeated 2–1, he scored a goal against Bahrain in the 2007 AFC Asian Cup.
