Ashley Michelle Tisdale was born in Monmouth County, New Jersey, on July 2, 1985, to Lisa Morris and Michael Tisdale, a contractor. Her father is Christian and her mother is Jewish; she was raised with "a little bit of both" faiths. Jennifer, Tisdale's elder sister, is an actress and producer. She is also related to businessman Ron Popeil, who was best known for her role as a pitchman for the Ginsu knife.
