Brie Larson Steps Into the Spotlight in the "Lessons in Chemistry" Trailer

www.popsugar.co.uk, April 21, 2023
Sometimes chemistry needs a little bit of cooking. Brie Larson plays Elizabeth Zott, a brilliant scientist who made her career in the 1950s but her career is in jeopardy due to her sexist coworkers in the teaser for the forthcoming series "Lessons in Chemistry," based on the book of the same name that became an instant bestseller in 2022. As she is fired from her lab, she takes up a host of a television cooking show, giving her a voice in women's homes — and their husbands — around the world. Lewis Pullman, an actor who you might recognize from "Top Gun: Maverick" (or being Bill Pullman's son), was included in the preview, which was released on April 20th. Last year, "Lessons in Chemistry" was filmed last year and is one of many book-to-TV adaptations Apple TV+ is launching this year. They just announced "The Last Thing He Told Me" in April, and "City on Fire" and "Silo" are both coming this May. Author Bonnie Garmus' debut book "Lessons in Chemistry" — which has a strong romance feel — is an invitation to romance.
