Career
Fairclough captained his countries Under-17 team in 2007 at the age of 15. He was recruited by various college scouts and decided to attend The University of South Florida a year later. He is one of the youngest Jamaican athletes to enroll in college at just sixteen years old.
Fairclough played four years of college soccer at the University of South Florida between 2009 and 2012. Fairclough also played for the VSI Tampa Flames in the United States during the 2012 season while at college.
Fairclough wasn't selected in the 2013 MLS SuperDraft, but he signed with the Seattle Sounders FC in Major League Soccer on March 22, 2013. However, he was suspended by Seattle on June 27, 2013 without making a first-team appearance.
Fairclough signed the Wilmington Hammerheads, a pro team in the United States, on April 2, 2014. Fairclough was named to the USL Pro team of week on May 6, 2014. Fairclough was selected to the USL PRO first team of the year at the end of the 2014 USL PRO season.
