Anton Zaslavski (born 2 September 1989) is a Russian-German DJ, record producer, and songwriter.
He mainly produces and performs electro house music, but has broadened his scope and musical style, drawing inspiration from progressive house, dubstep, and classical music. Zedd grew up and began his career in Kaiserslautern, Germany.
Zedd, his stage name, was derived from zed, the British English word for the letter Z, the first letter of his surname.
He released "Clarity" in 2012, propelling him to mainstream success, landing him at 8th position on the Billboard Hot 100 and earning him a Grammy for Best Dance Recording at the 56th Grammy Awards.

Early life
Anton Zaslavski was born in Saratov, Soviet Russia, on September 2nd, 1989, to a Jewish family. Since his family moved to Dansenberg, Kaiserslautern, Germany, when Anton was three years old, he grew up. He is said to be a classically trained guitarist, the son of two singers. Igor Zaslavski, his father, is a guitarist and school teacher, and his mother, a piano teacher, is a piano teacher. At the age of four and drums, he began playing the piano and drums for the first time. He has an older brother, Arkadi, and Daniel, his younger brother. Zaslavski first performed for Dioramic, a German deathcore band that was signed by Lifeforce Records in 2002. After hearing Cross by the French electronic duo Justice, Zaslavski's interest in making electronic music was piqued.

Selena Gomez, a singer and actress, was briefly dated by Zedd in 2015. He confessed that he loathed the media's coverage of it.

Career
Zedd won two Beatport remix competitions in 2010; his first original release, "The Anthem," made it to the top 20 in the Beatport Electro house chart.
Skrillex's "Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites" was also remixed by the artist. He has since produced remixes of well-known artists, including Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, the Black Eyed Peas, Periphery, and others. Zeddd is now one of the ten top manufacturers of the decade. Zaslavski produces his music with the Cuban suite of music production tools, as well as Simultan, SynthMaster 2.6, and Omnisphere synthesizers.
"Born This Way" by Zeddd's remix of Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" was included on her third studio album, Born This Way (2011). Zedd's debut studio album, Clarity, debuted "Shave It" as the album's first single and "Spectrum" as the album's second single on October 12, 2012. "Clarity" by British singer-songwriter Foxes was released on February 1 as the album's third single. It debuted in the top ten of Billboard Hot 100, sold 2,238,000 copies, and was designated platinum, making it Zedd's most popular single to date. On September 10, 2013, the song became America's most popular on American radio. Zedd's first worldwide tour brought out sold out venues from all five continents in 2013.
Zedd toured with Japanese singer Namie Amuro and produced her album Feel's promotional single, "Heaven." Zedd will reunite with her album, genic, in 2015, although none of his songs were even on the album.
Hayley Williams' "Stay the Night" was released as a single on September 10, 2013, as part of Zedd's deluxe edition. The album had similar success, but it had been criticized for a lack of uniqueness and weaker lyrics in comparison to "Clarity". It was ranked in Billboard's top 20 and also certified platinum. "G.U.Y." is Zeddd's third collection of "Aura" in 2013. "Donatella" and "Donatella" on Lady Gaga's 2013 album, Artpop. He released Matthew Koma and Miriam Bryant's single "Find You" on January 26, 2014, which is also included on the film Divergent's soundtrack.
Ariana Grande performed "Break Free" on July 3, 2014, a top-five hit for the time. On the Billboard Hot 100, 4 is the highest-ranked and debuted at No. 4 and reached No. 10. 1 on the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs. The album was nominated for the category of "Break-Up Song" at the Teen Choice Awards. Moment of Clarity, a documentary about Zedd and his 2013 world tour, was broadcast on his YouTube channel with Sandra Bullock, Rachel Weisz, and Julia Roberts on December 18, 2014.
Zedd's second studio album, True Colors, had been announced after a six-month break. Zeddd's "I Want You to Know" collaps with Selena Gomez on February 23, 2015, the publication's 23nd edition. Zedd, Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic and Kevin Drew co-wrote the song and was produced by the former. At the Teen Choice Awards, the song was nominated for "Choice Party Song" and debuted on Billboard's Dance/Electronic Songs, debuting at number 17 on Billboard's Top 100. Zedd appeared at the 2015 CMT Music Awards with Lady Antebellum. They performed "Long Stretch of Love" and "Beautiful Now" together, a mashup of their songs "Long Stretch of Love" and "Beautiful Now." True Colors Tour, his second world tour, ran from August to November 2015, visiting Asia, North America, and Europe. Zedd was included in the 2016 line-up for Coachella. Zedd & Aloe Blacc launched the single "Candyman" on February 26, 2016. "Starving," a song starring Hailee Steinfeld and producer duo Grey on July 15, 2016, peaked at No. 1 on Sunday. On September 26, 2016, Zeddd announced a collaboration with Riot Games for the 2016 League of Legends eSports championship, Worlds, dubbed "Ignite." A month after the album's debut, he remixed it on "Finals Remix." Zeddd, a DJ Snake's hit song "Let Me Love You," was released on December 15, 2016.
In 2017, he sponsored a benefit concert for the American Civil Liberties Union, which came as a result of US President Donald Trump's executive order to "suspended all refugee admissions for 120 days and barred citizens of seven Muslim-majority countries, refugees, or otherwise." Daya, Halsey, Macklemore, Tinashe, and Skrillex were among the line-ups. Zeddd and Alessia Cara's "Stay" debut on the Billboard Hot 100 and 33 on the UK Singles Chart on February 23, 2017. Zedd debuted "Get Low" with Liam Payne on July 6, 2017.
Zeddd performed "The Middle" with Maren Morris and Grey on January 23, 2018, the highest charting debut in the United States. 1 on the Billboard Pop Songs radio chart and peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Pop Songs radio charts, peaking at No. 1 on the Billboard Pop Songs radio chart. Zedd was hired by National Geographic to produce a video to the song based on the documentary film "One Strange Rock" on his YouTube channel on April 9, 2018. Zeddd's single with Elley Duhé, "Happy Now," appeared on July 17. The accompanying music video was later announced on August 23, 2018.
Zeddd, a Shawn Mendes remix of "Lost in Japan," was released on September 27, 2018. This single debuted in the Top 40 charts and was the first collaboration between the two artists. They performed this song at the 2018 American Music Awards on October 10th, 2018 and then performed it again at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show on November 8, 2018.
