Career

Erin Boag, Du Beke's most reliable professional partner, is a member of the Society of Professionals. They met in 1997 and 1998, winning the 1999 and 1999 New Zealand Championships. They became professional in 2002 and became very popular in the United Kingdom. They won the IDTA Classic in Brighton in November 2003, the best on the circuit ever.

Since its inception, Du Beke has appeared in every series of BBC's Strict Come Dancing. He performed with singer Lesley Garrett in the first series and came in third place. He appeared on stage with actress Patsy Palmer for the third series and finished in fifth place. He performed with actor and impressionist Jan Ravens in the fourth series, but was disqualified in week 5 of the competition. Kate Garraway, the husband of the fifth series of the series, was voted out in week 7. Gillian Taylforth, his partner in the sixth series of the series, was voted out in week 2. In series seven, he was partnered with Laila Rouass. They made it to week 12 together.

For the 2004 and 2018 Christmas specials, Du Beke has also revived his collaborations with Lesley Garret and Ann Widdecombe. Nick Knowles has revealed he now has a 'reattched bicep' after surgery following injuries he sustained in rehearsals for Strictly Come Dancing. The DIY SOS star, 62, took to Twitter on Thursday and shared a video from his hospital bed where he told fans he has 'two or three months' of physiotherapy ahead. He said: 'Just woken up from my op. All went well by all accounts so I have a reattached bicep now so bit of physio over the next two or three months and all should be right as rain and back to 100% I think.
