Anselmo Ralph Career

Career

He lived in Madrid between 1991 and 1992 and was heavily influenced by Dominican singer Juan Luis Guerra. In 1995, he returned to Angola, forming the hip hop group NGB (standing for Nova Geraço Bantu). On EP Studios (EP stands for Eduardo Pam), the group's Tá-se Bem) appeared the following year, but several financial challenges hampered distribution, which did not exist until 1999.

In 2000, he returned to New York to try to make it in the United States. He was a member of a Latin rock band on the Spanish market, but he had limited success in the United States due to issues with record labels and promoters. He also attempted to promote songs in English in 2001, finding some success with universities and religious organisations, but no commercial success was achieved.

He returned to Angola in 2003 and was working on his Portuguese language CD Histórias de Amor, which was intended for local Angolan and Portuguese markets. The album was mainly produced by Angolan R&B producer Aires Francisco aka Aires no Beat. Bom Som, the brand's no beat, was a big success in 2006 in both markets. His concert tour attracted record audiences of 6–7 thousand. He was nominated by the Channel O Music Video Awards in the "Best R & B" and "Best Director" categories, and he also received the MTV Europe Music Awards in the "Best African Artist" category in 2006. During a gala in Copenhagen, he was given the award.

He released the follow-up and similarly successful album As Ultimas Historias de Amor in February 2007, which included the single "Um Dois." He received "Best Male Voice" by Rádio Luanda in 2007. He was signed to the major Angolan label LS Proso for a three-album contract, appearing with a large number of international artists from Europe and Africa.

He released O Cupido, a double CD and DVD), on February 14, 2009, produced by Aires (Aires no Beat), recorded in Bom Som Studios, South African Jazzworx, and mastered by Mike Manitshana. More than 40,000 people attended the Pavilho Da Cidadela promotion in two days.

Anselmo Ralph pre-released his maxi single "A Dor do Cupido" in 2011, which was rated four times platinum in Portugal. In collaboration with the Swiss Klasszik label and producers Nellson Klasszik and Dji Tafinha, A Dor do Cupido was released in March 2011. "No Me Toca","Animal," "Está Dificil," "Recuar," and "O Que é Que Andianta" were among the album's hit singles. It has risen to the second position on the Portuguese Albums Chart, ranked No. 2 on the charts. On the Portuguese singles chart, the song N'o Me Toca debuted at number two.

He performed on 5 of the 17-track release in 2012 during his participation in the multinational musical project "Team De Sonho" (literally The Dream Team in Portuguese). In Johannesburg and Maputo, the group performed two major concerts.

He also released his own collection Best of Anselmo Ralph as a prospective single titled "Sem Ti" performing in a further tour in Angola. On the Portugal Albums Top 30 chart, Best of Anselmo Ralph has risen to number five. Ralph joined Sony Music in 2015 to produce three albums in Spanish, the first album to be released in 2016.
