Anne Curtis-Smith-Heussaff (born 17 February 1985) is a Filipino-Australian actress, model, television presenter, TV host, and recording artist in the Philippines.

She is now one of the hosts of It's Showtime, which airs on ABS-CBN. Curtis appeared in many television series, including Hiram (2004–2005), Kampanerang Kuba (2005), Maging Sino Ka Man (2006–2007), and Kailangan Kobe (2013), and Shekw's Showtime (2009–present).

In Mars Ravelo's Dyesebel, she portrays the iconic Komiks character Dyesebel. She appeared in numerous films including No Other Woman (2011), which grossed Php 278 million at the box office, as well as her role in the film.

Babe, I Love You (2010), and A Secret Affair (2012) are two of her other box-office hit films.

In the films Baler (2008) and In Your Eyes (2010), she had other critically lauded roles. Early life

Anne Ojales Curtis-Smith was born in Yarrawonga, Australia. Carmencita Ojales, a Filipino from Bolinao, Pangasinan, and James Ernest Curtis-Smith, an Australian lawyer, was born in Sydney, Australia. In 1982, her father married Ojales. Jasmine, Jasmine's younger sister, is also an actress. Clare, their father's half-sister, died of a cardiovascular disease at the age of four months old in 2007.

Curtis, a half-Filipino, will visit her mother's relatives in the Philippines with her family. Curtis, a 12-year-old girl from 1997, was approached by a talent scout to ask if she would like to attend a children's beauty pageant. Her father was concerned that it was a scam, but her mother wanted her to try it anyway. Curtis then began to apply to various talent agencies without her father's knowledge. By then, she and her family had decided to remain in the Philippines permanently. Curtis were unable to speak or understand the Filipino language at the time, so they had to attend classes.

Personal life

Curtis' longtime boyfriend, restaurateur, and food blogger Erwan Heussaff married her on November 12th, 2017 in Queenstown, New Zealand. Dahlia Amélie, Curtis' daughter, was born on March 2, 2020. The name "Dahlia" is said to be derived from Curtis' character in her 1997 debut film, Magic Kingdom: Ang Alamat ng Damortis.

Career

Curtis made her film debut in Magic Kingdom in 1997: Ang Alamat ng Damortis. She then joined Viva Films and GMA Network, respectively. Ikaw Na Sana was her first television appearance in the drama series. She appeared in T.G.I.S., which was also a teen-oriented exhibit.

Curtis appeared in films ranging from 1998 to 2003, including Honey, My Love... So Sweet, Ika-13 Kapitulo, Juan & Ted: May Bukas Pa, Beh Bote Nga, Anna Karenina, and Idol Ko si Kap are among the hundreds of television shows wishing for May Bukas Pa, Beh Bote Nga, Kapitulo, and Idol Ko si Kap.

Curtis migrated from GMA Network to ABS-CBN in 2004, describing the change as "significantly life changing." Dina Bonnevie and Kris Aquino appeared on the drama Hiram, her first project on the network. Curtis has also performed as a host and a performer at ASAP, aside from Hiram.

Curtis' big break came in 2005, when she appeared in the fantasy television show Kampanerang Kuba's title role. This was her first collaboration with director Wenn V. Deramas. Curtis also hosted the reality show Qpids with Luis Manzano and a segment of The Buzz.

Curtis performed her first solo concert tour, Annebisyosa: No Other Concert World Tour at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in 2012 in support of her debut album.
