Early life
Cepeda was born in Cartagena, Colombia, and raised in Barranquilla. Lorna Paz, a television actress, and her two older siblings were living with her mother and two older sisters after her parents' divorce (one of whom is actress Lorna Paz).
Career
When she discovered her calling in drama, she travelled to Bogotá. She was hired by a beer company and produced some advertisements for it after starting her drama classes. She appeared in several soap operas and films in Colombia next.
Cepeda was involved in the soap opera Las Juanas, attracting the attention of several television presenters, including Claudia Meier and Rosalinda Sereny, as Fiorella Flores de Mejmán in Pobre Diabla (2000), opposite Salvador del Solar and Santiago Magill.
In Pantaleón y las Visitadoras, Peruvian filmmaker Francisco Lombardi convinced her to play a prostitute named "La Colombiana" (released in English as Captain Pantoja and the Special Services). Julieta Madrigal appeared in the English, Spanish, and Italian languages of Disney's animated film Encanto's 2021.
