Angelica Agurbash Life

Angelica Anatolievna Yalinskaya (born in Minsk, Belarussian SSR, Soviet Union, May 1970) was the founder of Angelica Agurbash (born in Minsk, Belarussian SSR, Soviet Union).

She took the first Miss Belarus title in 1988 when she first joined the Belarusian Academy of Arts.

She was in the band Verasy between 1990 and 1995.

Angelica released three albums, including "Miss Photo USSR" and "For You," in 1991.

"The Farewell Kiss of Lika Yalinskaya," she released in 2002.

In 2005, Agurbash became the Belarusian Eurovision Song Contest entrant.

A jury selected Boys and Girls, a rock ballad themed after the Beslan school hostage crisis, from a pre-selection vote by Belarusian viewers.

The Belarusian state broadcaster, however, decided in a highly unusual move to encourage Angelica to perform a new song in Kiev despite the song's poor reception around Europe. Diva Svika Pick, the Israeli author of 1998's success, and Nikos Terzis, the author of Antique's hit Die For You Nikos Terzis, ordered songs from two writers with a gold medalist.

Agurbash chose Love Me Tonight after a long wait.

The song change was able to raise expectations surrounding the Belarusian entry, which included also a transformer outfit influenced by Marie N's 2002 victory.

She was one of the pre show favourites to attend the premiere.

Nevertheless, she did not fare as well as expected in the competition, losing out on the semi-finals.

Love Me Tonight" finished 13th out of 25.
