Andrew James Stockdale (born 20 July 1976) is an Australian rock musician, singer, and songwriter best known as the lead vocalist, lead guitarist, and only mainstay member of the rock band Wolfmother, which formed in 2000.
He was named 'Songwriter of the Year' at the APRA Awards in 2007, alongside his Wolfmother cohorts.

Early life
Andrew James Stockdale was born in Brisbane on July 20th, 1976. He was born in Ashgrove and attended Ashgrove State College, The Gap State High School, and Kelvin Grove State College. He lived briefly with his family in Wimbledon Village, London, where he attended Wimbledon Middle School, and has dual Australian and British citizenship due to his father's being an English man from Barrow-in-Furness.
Career
Stockdale is best known as the lead vocalist, lead guitarist, and only active member of the rock band Wolfmother, which he formed in 2004. At the APRA Awards in 2007, he and his bandmates were named "Songwriter of the Year" as a result of their effort.
Stockdale performed "Joker & the Thief" at the AFL Grand Final on October 24, 2020.
