Customers are being stung by Tesco's 'nationwide' system failure, which has resulted in canceled deliveries

www.dailymail.co.uk, March 7, 2023
After a large number of deliveries and collections were cancelled due to a 'technical issue', Tesco is dealing with 'thousands' of furious customer calls.' Due to the computer glitch, the supermarket giant announced that it had been forced to withdraw 'a significant number of orders today' and instead gave consumers an alternative slot. However, shoppers have reported that it could be days before they can use another delivery slot, with many elderly and homeless customers left hungry as Britain goes through a week of cold weather (right). Customer Paul Coombs wrote online: 'Would Tesco like to explain why my 85-year-old vulnerable mother has just had her delivery cancelled? What backup plan do you have for customers like this?'
