André Carrillo Life

André Martn Carrillo D'az (born 14 June 1991) is a Peruvian professional footballer who competes for Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal FC and Peru's national team as a winger or second striker. Carrillo began his senior career with Alianza Lima in 2009.

He moved to Sporting CP in Portugal two years ago and made his debut for his country.

In 2016, he joined Benfica and went on to win the league, cup, and super cup in his first season.

He was then loaned out for two seasons, the first to English club Watford in the Premier League and the second to Al-Hilal in the Saudi Professional League. Since making his debut in 2011, he has earned more than 60 caps for Peru and has represented his nations at three editions of the Copa América (finishing third in 2011 and 2015, and second in 2019).

Club career

Carrillo began playing football in Esther Grande de Bent's youth club in 2004. In 2007, he joined Alianza Lima's youth program. He then migrated up to Alianza Lima's first team and made his league debut in the Torneo Descentralizado on December 5th in the last round of the regular season. He stepped into the field in the 75th minute as the match finally ended in a 2–2 draw against Universidad César Vallejo, who was playing at home.

Carrillo signed a five-year contract with Sporting CP on May 6, 2011. He was inserted in the first squad and was an unreserved substitute for the league games in round 2 and 3. In matchday 5 and starting from the beginning, then made his Primeira Liga debut on September 19th, 2011 in Sporting's 2–3 away victory over Rio Ave FC. In his second match against Vitória Settbal, he was in the starting lineup again, and he gave his first assist. In Sporting's 6–1 victory over Gil Vicente, he later contributed two assists. In his 11th match, he scored his first league goal in the 74th minute, but it wasn't enough to prevent a 2–1 loss to Braga.

Carrillo had signed a two-year deal with Benfica until 2021, according to Sporting.

Carrillo's economic rights at Sporting, which were established by a third party based in the British Virgin Islands, was revealed in September 2020 by Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich. Carrillo had played against Abramovich's Chelsea in 2014 before this being revealed.

Carrillo made his Portuguese defending champions Benfica on July 1st 2017--17 season. He joined Watford on a season-long loan with the option for a permanent transfer on August 24, 2017. He was loaned again to Al-Hilal FC in Saudi Arabia for the 2018-19 season, this time in Saudi Arabia.

Carrillo completed his four-year deal with Al Hilal on July 23, 2019.

He scored the only goal in a 1–0 home win over Urawa Red Diamonds on November 9th, allowing them to win the trophy following a 3–0 aggregate victory that qualified them to qualify for the 2019 FIFA Club World Cup.

International career

Carrillo was called up by Sergio Markarián for Peru's match against Ecuador, in which he was an unused sub. He was called up to participate in the Kirin Cup in May 2011 and later played for Peru in the 2011 Copa América.

In the 2015 Copa América Third Place Match, he scored his second international goal in a 2–0 win over Paraguay.

Carrillo was selected in Peru's provisional 24-man squad for the FIFA World Cup in Russia in May 2018. In the match against Australia, he scored his team's first goal.

Carillo was drafted in Rio Gareca's final 23-man squad for the 2019 Copa América in Brazil in May.

In the first round of the 2021 Copa América, he scored in a 2–2 draw against Ecuador on June 23, 2021.
