Anders Holm (born May 29, 1981) is an American writer, comedian, actor, and producer.
He is one of the comedians and creators of the Comedy Central show Workaholics, as well as actor in the short-lived NBC series Champions.
He, along with fellow Workaholics creators Blake Anderson, Adam Devine, and Kyle Newacheck formed the sketch group Mail Order Comedy.
Early life
Holm was born in Evanston, Illinois, on May 29, 1981. His brothers are Olen (born 1975) and Erik (born 1976). He graduated from Evanston Township High School. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a bachelor's degree in history in 2003. He was a member of the university's swim team and is of Danish descent. Holm studied at the Second City Conservatory in Los Angeles.
Personal life
Emma Nesper Holm, Holm's college sweetheart, married him in September 2011. On December 19, 2013, their first child was born.
Career
Holm, along with fellow Workaholics creators Blake Anderson, Adam DeVine, and Kyle Newacheck formed the sketch comedy group Mail Order Comedy. In The Mindy Project, he played a hip pastor who became the title character's fiancé. In the episode "Flip Flop," he made a guest appearance in the fourth season of Modern Family.
On the first episode of the fourth season of Arrested Development, Holm made a guest appearance with fellow Workaholics actor Anderson, DeVine, and Erik Griffin. Before his stint on Workaholics, he has worked as a producer and head writer's assistant for Real Time with Bill Maher.
Holm appeared in the Chris Rock-directed comedy film Top Five in 2014. Holm has appeared in other Rogen films, including a cameo in Neighbors, The Interview (both 2014) and Sausage Party (2016).
He appeared in the comedy film How to Be Single in 2016.
In 2018, he wrote, produced, and performed in Game Over, Man! Seth Rogen is the co-producer on a film project. On Netflix, the film was released. Holm co-produced The Package, a Netflix original film comedy that premiered on August 10, also this year.
