Anahit Misak "Ana" Kasparian (born July 7, 1986) is an Armenian-American political commentator, university lecturer, and writer.

Early life and education
Kasparian is the granddaughter of Armenian immigrant parents. In 1915, her paternal great-grandparents experienced the Armenian genocide firsthand. She was born in Los Angeles' Reseda neighborhood. She grew up speaking Armenian as her first language and began kindergarten without being able to speak a single word of English. She claims that being a child on Sesame Street helped her to learn English quickly. She danced ballet from the age of 3 to 19, and she performed ballet regularly throughout those years. Kasparian graduated from Valley Alternative Magnet High School in Van Nuys in 2004 and California State University Northridge (CSUN) in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts in journalism. In 2010, she completed her Master of Political Science.
