The Defiance is an American science fiction western drama television series developed by Rockne S. O'Bannon, Kevin Murphy, and Michael Taylor; Universal Cable Productions produces the film. The display takes place on a post-apocalyptic future on a radically changed Earth with new species, some of which have appeared from space, and others have caused hazard contamination by the alien race, the Votans, which has changed native flora and fauna in unforeseen ways. * The tale begins in 2046, when the Earth has been dramatically changed, with new topography, plant and animal species disappearance, and the appearance of new species. The series was shown on the cable channel Syfy and in several international markets in the United States. * It premiered in the United States on April 15, 2013 in the United States and in most countries that followed the series for the first week. * Defiance defiance's third season premiered on September 25, 2014, and Syfy cancelled the show on October 26, 2015, citing financial reasons. However, Defiance, the companion video game, remains to be supported; on March 1, 2016, Trion Worlds revealed a major update for the game, promoting season four of the series. They also confirmed that there were no plans to make a sequel, but that they would continue to update the game with new content.
