Amrinder Singh Gill (born 11 May 1976) is an Indian actor, singer, guitarist, and film director who produces Punjabi-language films and music.

He has been nominated for ten PTC Film Awards, six for Best Actor and two for Best Playback, among other categories, and five for Best Playback musician. Gill performed his first song for Jalandhar Doordarshan's program Kala Doria.

With his song "Paigam," followed by "Daru," "Madha", "Khedan De Din," with Sunidhi Chauhan, and several others such as "Mel Kara De" and "Dildarian" have made him enter the limelight.

Judaa was nominated for Best Album in 2012 by the Royal Academy of Music for Best Album.'

Amrinder Gill developed Juda a sequel in mid-2014 after the success of Judaa.

Early life and music career

Gill was born in Amritsar, Punjab, on May 11, 1976. "I would stand in front of the mirror during my childhood years, assuming myself as an actor and imitate scenes," Gill said in an interview. My father was a doctor, mother was a nurse, and my sister was married, so I would often pretend to be an actor when I was alone at home." He graduated from Khalsa College in Amritsar. He earned a master's degree in agriculture science. He is an alumnus of Guru Nanak Dev University. He appeared in Bhangra dance as a support artist for celebrities like Sarbjit Cheema in college. He began his singing career as a manager in the Ferozepur Central Cooperative Bank. In 1999, he recorded his first song, "Sanu Ishq Ho Gaya," for Jalandhar Doordarshan's program Kala Doria, but he credited the song to Rhythm Boyz rather than himself. With producer Karaj Gill, Gill has launched Rhythm Boyz Entertainment, which has aided in the development of artists such as Gurshabad, Bir Singh, and Gurpreet Maan's careers.

In 2009, he made his acting debut under Punjabi filmmaker Manmohan Singh's Punjabi Film Munde UK De, in a supporting role with Jimmy Shergill and Neeru Bajwa.
