Career
Diego Verdaguer, a man five years her senior, who she would marry later, was she 17 years old at 17. Verdaguer was already a well-known musician at the time, and she formed Mediterráneo, his musical group. The group thrived in Los Angeles, California, but after being discovered by a Univision network executive, she launched her own solo career with support from San Diego.
El Sonido Vol., Miguel's first album, is released. 1, was first published in 1981 and released a year later. Her album, which had a different sound and style than Mediterráneo, was a hit. A year later, a sequel to that was released. Asi No Te Amara Jamas, Él Me Mintió (1981), and Mi Buen Corazón (1982) are all hits of Los Angeles radio stations, KRCD-FM Recuerdo 103.9/98.3 FM.
