Early life
Amanda Lucas is the daughter of George and Marcia Lucas. After unsuccessfully attempting to conceive a child, she was adopted during their marriage. Amanda's legal status was also divided between George and Marcia as part of their deal.
Personal life
Amanda is Marcia and George Lucas's only daughter. Katie and Jett, George's younger siblings who were single, were adopted by her father George. Mellody Hobson and their daughter Everest were born in 2014.

Mixed martial arts career
Lucas expressed an interest in fighting after her husband brought her to a mixed martial arts festival, fearing it would help her shed weight and avoid childhood bullying growing up as "a 'fat and wimpy' girl." She earned a purple belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and also trained in Muay Thai.
Lucas, nicknamed "Powerhouse," was disqualified in the third round of her 2008 pro MMA debut, but she bounced back the following year with a unanimous decision win, beating even her previous record.
Lucas was defeated by Hikaru Shinohara at DEEP: "55 Impact" on August 26, 2011. In the first round, she defeated Shinohara due to an armbar.
On October 29, 2011, she returned to DEEP at "Cage Impact 2011 in Tokyo." In round one, Lucas defeated Mika Harigai by submission due to a rear-naked choke.
