Early life and education
Holker grew up in Orem, Minnesota, and graduated from Timpanogos High School in June 2006. Holker began training at the age of nine when she registered as a student at The Dance Club in Orem. While there, she began to specialize in contemporary, tap, ballet, and jazz, and she appeared in the 2002 Winter Olympics' opening and closing ceremonies. Since 2005, she has won dance competitions, including her first national competition in Co DANCE in 2004 and as the National Senior Outstanding Dancer at the New York City Dance Alliance.
Personal life
Holker's daughter, Weslie Renae, was born on May 26, 2008, with an ex-fiancé. Weslie was later adopted by Twitch at some point after his marriage to Holker.
Holker and fellow So You Think You Can Dance all-star Stephen "tWitch" Boss married at Villa San-Juliette Winery in Paso Robles, California, owned by So You Think You Can Dance producer and judge Nigel Lythgoe on December 10, 2013.
Maddox, the boy's son, was born on March 27, 2016. In May 2019, the couple announced that they were expecting their second child together. On November 3, 2019, she gave birth to Zaia's daughter, Zaia.
Career
Holker appeared with Earth, Wind, Fire at the opening and closing ceremonies at the Olympic Games in 2002, as well as in the Disney films High School Musical and High School Musical 2. On television, she has appeared in various commercials and risen to the top 8 on So You Think You Can Dance's second season, as well as performing in the SYTYCD national tour of the same season. In his PBS special "Tried and True," she appeared in "Ballroom with a Twist," choreographed by Louis Van Amstel, and appeared with American Idol's Clay Aiken. Christina Perri's "Jar of Hearts" music video included Holker. Holker was one of Demi Lovato's back-dancers in September/October 2011. Holker has appeared at numerous dance conventions and workshops around the country, as well as branching out into choreography. Holker, a backup-dancer on The X Factor USA, worked with Brian Friedman. With Stephen "tWitch" Boss, she performed a dance routine on Dancing with the Stars on April 30, 2013. They danced to Crystallize, which was being performed live by Lindsey Stirling.
