Early life and education
Allegra Versace is the niece of fashion designer Gianni Versace and daughter of Italian fashion designer Donatella Versace and American ex-fashion model Paul Beck. She and her younger brother Daniel were born in Milan, Italy, and they were raised together. Sir Elton John gave her a piano she admits she never learned to play. She took ballet lessons for nine years as an adolescent and is still a huge admirer of ballet. She attributes her uncle Gianni with instilling in her this lifelong love of ballet. He introduced her to Maurice Béjart for one of her birthdays.
Versace was educated at "The Sir James Henderson School," the English School of Milan, then known as "The Sir James Henderson School," where she was closely guarded. Following secondary school, she went abroad, first to Brown University in Rhode Island, then to UCLA in 2006, where she studied French, art history, and theatre.
