Alison Wheeler Life

Alison Wheeler (born 22 July 1986) is a French humorist and actress of Irish origin. Wheeler first appeared on the French cooperative Studio Bagel website, which was later purchased by the television network Canal+.

She has a long career as a filmmaker and a performer on France Inter.

Biography and early television

Alison Wheeler, of French-Irish origin, was born in Enghien-les-Bains, Val-d'Oise, on July 22, 1986. She took comedy classes at Cours Florent and Studio Pygmalion after graduating with a Baccalauréat diploma in humanities at Notre Dame-de-Bury High School (Margency). She has also attended the University of Paris-Sorbonne IV.

Wheeler appeared in numerous television series and co-hosted the show Kawai on Filles TV with Louise Bourgoin, and she was a co-host in the Saphia Azzedddine's adaptation of Azzeddd's Mon père est femme de ménage. Her success as the big sister with aspirations of becoming a musical actress earned her a César award in 2012. She went on to play a small part in the biopic My Way, directed by Florent Emilio Sirio, which was also released in 2012.

Wheeler began establishing her internet presence during the same year: first on the website MadmoiZelle.com and later on the internet cooperative Studio Bagel, which she later joined in season 2, giving her a larger audience. Wheeler became one of television's most popular celebrities when Studio Bagel was acquired by the television network Canal+. She appeared on Le Dézapping du Before, broadcast during le Petit Journal's Le Dézapping du Priorite, and occasionally on Canal+'s JT de l'invité on Canal+. However, Wheeler's most notable role began on September 9th, 2014, as a host for the Grand Journal weather on Canal + with Monsieur Poulpe. In the spring of 2015, she left Le Grand Journal to concentrate on cinema.

Wheeler appeared in Jean-Paul Rouve's dramedy Memories, following a few small roles in popular comedies such as Fonzy, Isabelle Doval, and toute épreuve by Antoine Blossier.

However, Wheeler's latest focus on cinema did not indicate a complete departure from news television, and she founded the column (Journal intime fictif) in Antoine de Caunes's weekly newspaper L'émission d'Antoine, which was broadcast on Canal+ in October 2015. "La chanteuse de bain" was the first video she posted on her YouTube channel on May 23, 2016. Wheeler debuted at La Bande originale on France Inter as a comedic commentator, with her column La Drôle d'Alison Wheeler, where she is known for her imitations and musical parodies. This gained her a large audience and led to her further cinematic roles, first for Patrick Mille's Going to Brazil and then as Déborah François' co-star in Coline Assous and Virginie Schwartz' romantic comedy Loue-moi! Despite significant media coverage for the first, both films received poor public reception and were considered flops in 2017.

In the same year, the actress appeared in Mademoiselle Jeanne in Gaston Lagaffe, an adaptation of Pierre-François Martin-Laval's eponymous cartoon.
