M. Night Shyamalan's new thriller Trap has already captured millions of people across the globe - and the gruesome flick is based off a twisted true story. The film follows a serial killer who takes his teenage daughter to see her favorite singer in concert, only to realize that the event is actually a secret sting operation orchestrated by police in order to capture him. The exciting premise leaves audiences on the edge of their seats, and it turns out, writer and director M. Night, 54, created the movie after becoming inspired by a very similar incident that occurred in the 1980s.
