Career
Wong tried stand-up comedy at the age of 23 after graduating from college. She hopped to New York City to pursue comedy and performed up to nine times a night.
Variety named her one of the "10 Comics to Watch" in 2011. She appeared on The Tonight Show, John Oliver's New York Stand Up Show, and Dave Attell's Comedian Comedy Underground Show right after. Are You There, Chelsea? was also cast as a series regular in the NBC comedy series Are You There, Chelsea? Chelsea has a late night show on Chelsea. In 2013, she appeared in VH1's Best Week Ever and MTV's Hey Girl. In addition, she appeared in Oliver Stone's Savages, opposite Benicio Del Toro and Salma Hayek, and as Kate in the film Dealin' with Idots.
Wong appeared in the ABC medical drama series Black Box in 2014, opposite Kelly Reilly and Vanessa Redgrave. Since then, she has appeared in many episodes of Inside Amy Schumer. Hard Knock Wife, Wong's second Netflix special, was released on May 13, 2018. It was shot at the Winter Garden Theatre in Toronto in late September 2017, when she was seven months pregnant with her second child.
