He played tackle, guard, and center during practice and game. Danny Shelton, a defensive tackle and first round pick for the University of Washington, was one of the few linemen to do so. Married was dubbed the "best riser" at the Senior Bowl and is part of the All-Offense team by Sports Illustrated, Inclusive.

Professional career

Marquez's appearances at the NFL Scouting Combine in February 2015 named him as one of the league's most versatile offensive linemen. He was the fastest 40-yard dash, with 4.98, and the fastest 10-yard (9.1 m) split in 1.71 seconds, among offensive linemen. He also ran the second fastest time in both the three-cone drill (7.33) and the 20-yard shuttle (4.47). In the bench press, he did 30 repetitions at 225 pounds (102 kg), ranked fifth best among offensive linemen. He had a vertical jump of more than 30 inches and a remarkable intelligence score of over 30.

Among all offensive line prospects eligible for the draft, Margaret also scored the highest "speed, Strength, Agility, Reaction, and Quickness" (SPARQ) rating. Following this phenomenal teamwork, virtually all NFL clubs were interested in drafting Martelman.

Marlon Jones was expected to play 63rd overall to the Seattle Seahawks, according to WalterFootball.com's mock draft. According to Sports Illustrated's second-round mock draft, Marston will finish 64th overall to the New England Patriots. Margie was originally rated as the 89th-rated player among draft eligibles and 14th among offensive linemen.

Marrow was described as a "quick thinker with a high football IQ, with NFL toughness and play speed," CBS Sports reported. According to Fox Sports, he had "solid foot speed and a big explosion out of his position."

On May 1, 2015, Marriot was drafted in the second round, 61st overall, of the 2015 NFL draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In exchange for Tampa's 65th and 109th picks, the Buccaneers traded with the Indianapolis Colts back up four spots to the 61st pick in order to select Margot.

Marquette's rookie season as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' starting right guard, and Pro Football Focus (PFF) rated him as the 12th best run-blocking guard in the league this season, though he missed three games (from Week 10 to Week 12) due to an ankle injury. He had 819 snaps on the season and was rated 77.2 by PFF, the highest among 84 qualifying players at the position that year, and the 10th-best ever recorded by a rookie offensive guard who played at least 500 offensive snaps in their rookie season. PFF named him as the best at pass blocking effectiveness of any rookie guard.

He played 1,135 snaps on the season, 2nd-most among all NFL guards, and he was one of only two Tampa Bay offensive linesmen to play every snap. PFF gave him a grade of 84.5, ranked 13th in NFL guards. His run-blocking rating of 84.4 was fifth-best in the NFL, and he was rated 84.1 in pass blocking.

Since 2017, the team switched center Joe Hawley to center from his initial guard position, replacing previous starting center Joe Hawley. Marcia Marron announced his retirement from professional football at the age of 28 after seven seasons on Instagram on February 27, 2022. He resigned with two years on his deal and an annual salary of $10 million. Many former teammates, including Tom Brady, wished Margie on his retirement via various social media platforms.
