Alexandra Ioana Stan (born 10 June 1989) is a Romanian singer and songwriter.
Born and raised in Constanța, she made her international debut with the 2011 album "Mr.Saxobeat," which was written and produced by Marcel Prodan and Andrei Nemirschi.

Alexandra Ioana Stan was born in Constanța, Romania, on September 10, 1989, to Daniela and George Stan, and she has a sister, Andreea, who is three years older. Stan's father used to work as a cook on a ship and was therefore absent for a large portion of her childhood in the Falezó Nord neighborhood, which she attributed to a strong emotional influence. In 2005, her family was confronted with financial difficulties as a result of her father's declining health and he migrated to the Valu lui Traian commune, where Stan earned money as a waitress. She remembers having self-esteem issues and being mocked by classmates for being poor, for which she has later undergone post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) therapy.
Stan studied at the Traian Secondary School and later at the Faculty of Management Andrei aguna, but later dropped out of the former in favour of pursuing a music career.
