Alexandra Chando (born July 28, 1986) is an American actress.

Maddie Coleman in the CBS soap opera As the World Turns and for her two roles as identical twins Emma Becker and Sutton Mercer in ABC Family's drama series The Lying Game, she is best known for her appearance as Maddie Coleman.

Early life

Chando is a native of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, where she graduated from Liberty High School. Steve Chando's father, Steve Chando, owns CHM Contracting in Bethlehem, and her mother, Rebecca, is a homemaker. She has two older brothers. She resides in New York City now. Before becoming an actress, Chando attended Manhattan College.

Career

Chando appeared on television soap opera As the World Turns from 2005 to 2007, and then for several months beginning in late 2009 and ending in early 2010. In the episode "I'm Getting My Big Break" from MTV's True Life, she chronicled her experience being cast on As the World Turns. She was nominated for the Younger Actress category of the Daytime Emmy Award in 2007.

Chando was cast as Deb in Josh Schwartz' WB web series Rockville, CA, in 2009. Elena Gilbert was auditioned for the leading role in the 2010 film Remember Me, and she auditioned for the role of Elena Gilbert in The CW television series The Vampire Diaries, where she screen-tested with Robert Pattinson for the leading role. Danielle Anderson appeared in the web series Talent, which is based on Zoey Dean's novel "Sey Dean's book series. In the ABC Family series The Lying Game, which aired for two seasons before being cancelled by the network, Chando was shown as identical twins Emma Becker and Sutton Mercer. After the conclusion of The Lying Game, she appeared on an episode of Castle as "a Lindsay Lohan/Miley Cyrus type."

Chando made her directorial debut in 2018 with her short film LPM, Likes Per Minute. It was shown at the inaugural Mammoth Film Festival, where Chando also works as an operations manager.
