Despite scoring just one point last season, Logan Sargeant KEEPS his 2024 F1 seat for the second year in a row

www.dailymail.co.uk, December 1, 2023
Despite earning only a single point in his rookie year, Logan Sargeant will be back on the Formula One grid for the 2024 season after being offered a new deal by Williams. In recent months, the American driver, 22, has had a number of commentators, finishing his first year in the sport bottom of the championship, barring Nyck De Vries, who was dropped after only 10 races and 26 points behind his teammate Alex Albon. There had been rumors that Sargeant could be replaced by Formula Two champion Theo Pourchaire, but Williams team principal James Vowles has decided to stick with his man and give him a second year behind the wheel.

According to Alex Palou, the IndyCar chief has 'no intention of honoring his deal' with McLaren next season.'

The long-running rivalry surrounding IndyCar championship leader Alex Palou culminated in another wild twist on Friday, when McLaren Racing's CEO told his team that the Spaniard has "no intention of honoring his deal" with the team next year. Brown wrote to the Arrow McLaren Racing workers, one of which was obtained by The Associated Press, that Palou had given him multiple assurances that he'd be wearing papaya in 2024 and has already been paid in advance. The letter was sent to McLaren employees shortly after the final IndyCar Series on-track session at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Friday. Palou rebuked Chip Ganassi Racing's effort to pick up the option Ganassi held on for 2023 last July, unexpectedly breaking into the free agent market. Palou said he was then both McLaren's IndyCar programme and a Formula One contract.

Indy 500: Katherine Legge of England defeated Rahal Letterman teammates to qualify at Brickyard, defeating them in the Indy 500

www.dailymail.co.uk, May 21, 2023
Katherine Legge of England qualified for the Indianapolis 500 for the third time on Saturday, while Felix Rosenqvist led the McLaren charge on Saturday by posting the fastest four-lap average at the Brickyard. Rosenqvist's late afternoon run of 233.947 mph was the third fastest four-lap qualifying effort in race history, defeating new teammate Alexander Rossi from the top position, which had been on hold for nearly six hours. 'It was mind blowing how we found so much speed,' Rosenqvist said. What a run.' Being in an Arrow McLaren was a blast. We're certainly looking good right now,' he says.'
