Tom Budgen (born May 19, 1985) is a Dutch professional wrestler best known as Aleister Black in the ring name.

He is currently signed to WWE and appears on the Raw brand.

He was a one-time NXT champion during his time in NXT.

Budgen appeared in promotions throughout Europe, United States, and Japan before signing with WWE, using the ring name Tommy Endowment.

Tommy End fought for Insane Championship Wrestling, Progress Wrestling, Pro Wrestling Guerilla, and Westside Xtreme Wrestling.

He competed in numerous championships, including the wXw World Heavyweight Championship, the wXw World Lightweight Championship, the ICW Tag Team Championship, ICW Tag Team Championship, and the Progress Tag Team Championship.

In June 2016, he joined WWE for the second time. At the 2017 NXT Takeover: Orlando, he made his NXT debut at WWE's NXT.

NXT TakeOver: Black took the NXT Championship in April 2018, defeating Andrade Cien Almas to win the NXT Championship.

He held the title until July 2018, but he lost it to Tommaso Ciampa due to Johnny Gargano's interference.

For the bulk of 2018 and early 2019, he then feuded with Ciampa and Gargano.

Black was promoted to the main roster in February 2019, and appeared on Raw and SmackDown Live.

This culminated in him collaborating with Ricochet and competing for the Raw Tag Team Championship at Fastlane and the SmackDown Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania 35.

Personal life

On September 23, 2018, Budgen married American wrestler Thea Trinidad, who is best known as Zelina Vega (also Queen Zelina). The couple lives in Tampa, Florida.

Budgen has a long background in martial arts, having obtained experience in kickboxing, pencak silat, and muay thai, which he would incorporate into his wrestling style.

Budgen performed extensively on the independent circuit in the United Kingdom and Europe under the ring name "Tommy End," with promotions including Pro Wrestling (PW), Insane Championship Wrestling (ICW), Progress Wrestling, Westside Xtreme Wrestling (PW), and Pro Wrestling (PW) among others. He has worked for international organisations, including North America's Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW), Evolve, and Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG), as well as Japan's Big Japan Pro Wrestling (BJW).

He has earned numerous awards, including XW World Light Heavyweight Champion, wXw World Tag Team Champion, ICW Tag Team Champion, and Progress Tag Team Champion.

Budgen had signed with WWE in June 2016, according to WWE's Sports Director, and he had reported to the WWE Performance Center on October 19th. He introduced "Aleister Black" as the ring name on January 7, 2017. Tommy End at the United Kingdom Championship Tournament finals on January 15, losing to Neville in a non-tournament match.

Vignettes debuted from the NXT episode on March 8, promoting Black's television debut. On April 1, Black defeated Andrade "Cien" Almas on his televised in-ring debut at NXT Takeover: Orlando. Hideo Itami, a promoter in the ring and asking reverence on the 2nd episode of NXT, ahead of Black's match, cut a promo and demanding respect on the second day. Black began Itami, resulting in a standoff between the two teams, and then Black performed Black Mass on Itami. Itami threatened to assault Black again but it was eventually broken. At NXT Takeover: Brooklyn III, Black defeated Itami, according to the legend. Black began a feud with Velveteen Dream, where Dream followed and threatened Black in order to get him to reveal his name. This resulted in a match between NXT TakeOver: WarGames, which Black defeated. Black suffered his first pinfall loss by Johnny Gargano in a deadly four-way match on December 27th (Adam Cole, Bobby Fish, and Kyle O'Reilly), who later suffered from The Undisputed Age. Takeover: In an Extreme Rules match against Adam Cole in Philadelphia on January 27, 2018.

On the 14th episode of NXT, Black said he had "a devil on [his] back" during the NXT Championship, and he was then interrupted by Killian Dain, who was defeated by Killian Dain on the 7th March episode of NXT to become the top NXT Champion. At NXT Takeover: NeXT TakeOver: Black defeated Almas on Friday, where he defeated Almas to win the NXT Championship. On the 30th May episode of NXT, Black was interrupted by Lars Sullivan, who wanted a shot at the NXT Championship. This culminated in a match at NXT TakeOver: Chicago II, in which Black successfully retained his title. Black lost the NXT Championship to Tommaso Ciampa on July 25, ending his reign at 108 days.

During Ciampa's address to the NXT Universe, Black confronted the ring, but Gargano was able to escape ahead of time to strike Ciampa, after which he yelled that Gargano's NXT Championship loss was Gargano's fault. For NXT Takeover: Brooklyn 4, a match between the three three teams was scheduled, but Black was later discovered unconscious in the parking lot outside the arena, after being attacked by an unseen and unknown assassination. Black was later revealed that it had been taken to a local medical center, and that it had been declared incapable to compete. After being out of action for two months, Black returned to NXT on October 17th, confronting Nikki Cross, who announced that Johnny Gargano was the one who had assaulted him. Black and Gargano's match was supposed for NXT TakeOver: WarGames, in which Black was victorious. Black failed to recover the NXT Championship from Tommaso Ciampa on January 26, 2019. He appeared in the Royal Rumble match at number 21 on the next night, but Baron Corbin took the lead, but was eventually disqualified by Baron Corbin. Black formed a tag team with Ricochet in March, and the two teams advanced to the 2019 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, where they triumphed after defeating The Forgotten Sons (Steve Cutler and Wesley Blake) in the finals. Takeover: The NXT Tag Team Championships were defeated by NXT TakeOver: Black and Ricochet failed to face the War Raiders in New York on April 5th.

Black made his Raw debut on February 18, defeating Elias. Bobby Roode and Chad Gable, along with Scott Dawson, and The Revival, but the pair did not win, despite having a great deal to prove at Fastlane. Black and Ricochet were both competing in the SmackDown Tag Team Championship in a deadly four-way match at WrestleMania 35 earlier this month, but were also disqualified.

Black was introduced to the Raw brand on April 15th as part of the Superstar Shake-up. On the other hand, Black was drafted to the SmackDown brand on April 22nd, effectively ending him from Ricochet. Black then appeared in ominous backstage promos in a dim room, awaiting a challenger. His challenge was eventually accepted on 9th episode of SmackDown, with the new challenger, Cesaro, who was Black's rival at Extreme Rules in Black's first singles pay-per-view match since joining the main roster, being Black. Black defeated Cesaro at Extreme Rules on July 14th.

Black was drafted to the Raw brand as part of the 2019 Draft in October. Black will begin a winning streak over the next two weeks, squashing his opponents. Buddy Murphy stepped into Black's locker room to challenge him on November 18, but Black was absent, and Murphy said that Black was all talk and no fighting. After his match, Black emerged and confronted Murphy the following week. For TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs, which Black defeated, a match was scheduled between Black and Murphy. Black was ranked 28 in the Royal Rumble match at number 28, but Seth Rollins was disqualified at number 28 on the Royal Rumble pay-per-view on Sunday.

The O.C. attacked Black on the 24th episode of Raw on February 24. Backstage, AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, and Karl Anderson are among the many actors to have appeared on (AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, and Karl Anderson). Raw on Raw is next week; Blackface in O.C. AJ Styles lost his first pinfall loss on the main roster and separated members in separate matches. Black defeated Styles in a no disqualification match at the Elimination Chamber on March 8th, with The Undertaker intervening. Black defeated Bobby Lashley by mistakenly distraction from Lana, Lashley's kayfabe wife. On the 20th April episode of Raw, Black defeated Austin Theory to qualify for the Money in the Bank ladder match at Money in the Bank. Black failed to win the tournament, being the only two people in the game, and Rey Mysterio and Rey Mysterio were thrown off the roof of the house.

After Rollins injured Rey Mysterio's eye, Black began a feud with Seth Rollins and Murphy. Murphy stabbed Black's right eye by running it across the steel steps on July 27, triggering it on the 27th episode of Raw. On the 24th episode of Raw, Black, with now wearing an eye patch, Kevin Owens was pictured taking the floor for the first time in his career. Owens was reportedly stabbed again in Raw this week as a Black Mass finishing move before a match against Randy Orton, which Owens lost. Owens defeated Black on September 14 in a Raw episode. On the 28th September episode of Raw, Owens will go back to defeat Black by disqualification. Black will lose again to Owens in a No Disqualification match on October 12th, snapping the feud. Black was introduced to the SmackDown brand as part of the 2020 Draft in October. Black will be out of television for six months following the draft, but following the announcement, he will not return from television for six months. In a vignette promoting his return from absence, Black revived on the 23rd episode of SmackDown in 2021. After weeks of vignettes, Black officially returned to Big E on the 21 May episode of SmackDown, angering Big E with the Black Mass, which enabled Apollo Crews to hold the Intercontinental Championship in the main event. As a result of this, Black was supposed to feud with Big E, but WWE pulled him out on June 2nd.

Budgen made his debut with All Elite Wrestling (AEW) on July 2021, announcing him as a heel, against both Arn Anderson and Cody Rhodes with the Black Mass. Black made his in-ring AEW debut over Rhodes on the 4th episode of Dynamite. After the match, Black struck Rhodes once more, laying him out after hammering him in the back with a crutch. On September 22, Black will face Rhodes in a rematch at Grand Slam, defeating him for the second time.

Black began feuding with The Varsity Blonds in early 2022 (Brian Pillman Jr. and Griff Garrison), and Death Triangle (Pac and Penta El Zero Miedo). Brody King debuted on the 12th edition of Dynamite, establishing a tag team dubbed 'Kings of the Black Throne' and the House of Black. Buddy Matthews made his debut as the third man for the "House of Black" on February 23, 2022. The stable will then triumph in a trios match against Death Triangle and Erick Redbeard, with Black pinning Redbeard winning the show after the successful participation in Revolution's buy-in show. Black reportedly demanded his freedom from AEW in September, but Black himself denied this in an Instagram livestream.

Budgen (as Malakai Black) was back to Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG) on August 1st, 2021. PWG World Champion Bandido was saved from a beating at the hands of Black Taurus, Demonic Flamita, and Super Dragon, alongside Brody King. Black later revealed that he would be attending PWG's forthcoming exhibition, Threemendous. Black took the vacant PWG World Tag Team Championship at that festival, along with Brody King against Flamita & Black Taurus.
