Career
Alana Blanchard was taught how to surf by her father, Holt, when she was just 4 years old. At Hanalei Pier in Kauai, Alana rode her first wave. When she was nine years old, then competed for the first time. At the 2005 T&C Women's Pipeline Championships, Blanchard took first place in shortboard.
