Aidan Turner Life

Aidan Turner (born 19 June 1983) is an Irish comedian.

Ross Poldark appeared in the BBC adaptation of The Poldark Novels by Winston Graham, Dante Gabriel Rossetti, Ruair McGowan in Desperate Romantics, Ruair McGowan in The Clinic, and Being Human's supernatural drama Being Human.

In the The Hobbit film series, he played Klo.

Early life

Turner was born in Clondalkin, a suburban town in Dublin, Ireland. The family moved to Walkinstown later in the year. Turner attended secondary school at St Mac Dara's Community College in Templeogue before going to Firhouse Community College with his older brother. “I certainly wasn't a brilliant student,” Turner said. When I was 17 years old, I had a car, so I used to run out of school, jump in the car, and play tennis in Tallaght. I'm not sure how I knew, but I'm positive that my [final exam] findings were never going to bother to me."

Turner was a good ballroom dancer before becoming an actor, winning third place in the adult section of the Irish National Championships. He worked as an apprentice electrician briefly after finishing secondary school, as well as his father. He applied after receiving a notice at Dublin's Gaiety School of Acting and being inspired by acting in a theater. In 2004, he graduated from the Gaiety School of Acting.

In Jilly Cooper's Rivals, the Woke US bosses warn the actors to reshoot sex scenes

www.dailymail.co.uk, March 16, 2024
She is the 'queen of the bonkbuster', with a worldwide reputation for writing incredibly steamy sex scenes. However, Dame Jilly Cooper has fallen foul of sarcastic American television executives, who are worried that a forthcoming adaptation of her raunchy novel Rivals would be too much for modern viewers. Multiple scenes of the star-studded series have been reshot by bosses at a subscription service, fearing that they are inappropriate in the post-MeToo period. However, Dame Jilly's 1988 novel, which is set in the fictional county of Rutshire, should not have come as a surprise. After gaining the rights, Disney announced that the book was "full of sex" and involved "drama, excess, and shocking antics."

The remakes of British TV classics that are BETTER than the originals and where to watch them on streaming (and the shows that were better first time around)

www.dailymail.co.uk, March 7, 2024
Magic formulas must exist for successful TV shows, but actors and writers have yet to find a foolproof spell. Instead, they keep falling back on the classics, remaking favourite shows in the hopes that lightning will strike twice. Here we examine eight classics and compare them to their remakes - some are better than the original, some are more popular but equally good, and at least one of them is a horrible clunker.
