She is best known for her role as Padma Patil in the Harry Potter film series, beginning with Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire in 2005.

Early life and education
Azad was born in Longsight, Manchester, England, and is of Bangladeshi descent. She attended Whalley Range High School and obtained AS-levels in chemistry, biology, English, and business studies at Xaverian College in Rusholme. She graduated from the University of Salford with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Design.
Personal life
On August 19, 2018, Azad married Nabil Kazi. They are based in Worcester, Worcestershire. The couple announced on April 11, 2021, they were expecting their first child. Azad's first child, a baby, was born on July 27th, 2021, according to a Facebook post on July 27th.

Azad's brother was jailed for six months on January 21.
Career
Azad is best known for her appearances in five Harry Potter films, beginning with 2005's Harry Potter and Goblet of Fire. She began acting after casting agents visited her college and, after attending multiple auditions, selected her for the role. Azad had claimed that she had auditioned "just for the fun of it" and she surprisingly stayed on the role.
In 2017, Azad's guest appeared in a CBBC episode Marrying Mum & Dad with Ed Petrie, though Naomi Wilkinson was absent.
