Career
Lester was given a Time Out Award and an Ian Charleson Award for his 1991 appearance as Rosalind in Cheek by Jowl's all-male production As You Like It. He appeared in Anthony Hope's production of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street in 1993. He has performed on stage as Robert in the musical Company's for which he received an Olivier Award and also in the title role of Hamlet (Carlton TV Theatre Award).
