Early life and education

Adele Laurie Blue Adkins was born in London's Tottenham district of London in 1988, to an English mother, Penny Adkins, and a Welsh father, Marc Evans. Adele was two years old when she was discovered by her mother, and she was taken up by her mother. She began singing at the age of 4 and claims she became obsessed with voices. Adele and her mother, who by then had found jobs as a furniture designer and an adult-learning organization, moved to Brighton, England's south coast.

In 1999, she and her mother returned to London, first to Brixton, then to West Norwood, the neighborhood in south London, which is the subject of her first song "Hometown Glory." She spent a large portion of her youth in Brockwell Park, where she would play the guitar and sing to friends, which she recalled in her 2015 song "Million Years Ago." "I've had some of my life that I've enjoyed there, and I've survived it [in 2015] and I've literally burst into tears. I really didn't get it." Adele graduated from the BRIT School for Performing Arts & Technology in Croydon in May 2006, where she was a classmate of Leona Lewis and Jessie J. Is it cruel to buy a sausage dog? As Germany inches closer to banning dachshunds, vets warn our obsession with 'stubby' legs means the breed now endures a 'lifetime of suffering'

www.dailymail.co.uk, March 27, 2024
With their cute little legs and affectionate temperament, it's no surprise that dachshunds are such popular domestic companions. But in Germany, their native country, they could soon be banned amid concerns that the dogs live a life of pain and suffering. For hundreds of years, dachshunds - also known as sausage dogs - have been bred to accentuate harmful features, like a long, sausage-like torso, to make them appear 'cute'. Unfortunately, they suffer severe back problems due to their long spine and bowed, stubby legs, potentially leaving them unable to walk. Jana Hoger, senior campaigner at PETA, claims buying a dachshund supports so-called 'torture breeding' - the deliberate breeding of unhealthy characteristics in a dog, causing it a lifetime of pain.
