Adam Brooks Reed (born January 8, 1970) is an American voice actor, animator, writer, producer, and television director.

Reed created, writes, and appears in the FX adult animated comedy series Archer, which premiered in September 2009.

With his co-creator and partner Matt Thompson, he also performed, wrote, directed, and produced the television series Sealab 2021 and Frisky Dingo.

Early work

Reed earned a degree in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1992. Reed and Matt Thompson began working as production assistants at Cartoon Network before deciding to host High Noon Toons in 1994. The High Noon Toons, a 3-hour programming block starring cowboy hand puppets Haas and Lil' Jo (a Bonanza pun), was a 3-hour programming block of cartoons hosted by cowboy hand puppets Haas and Lil' Jo. During filming, Thompson and Reed were often inebriated. The pair was reprimanded in 1995 for the lighting of one of the prop sets on fire.

Reed and Thompson left Cartoon Network in 1996 after suffering over differences while working on a morning cartoon show hosted by Carrot Top), and they moved to New York, where they would spend a year in the "sordid underbelly" of daytime talk shows.
