Adam Milne Career

Cricket career

Milne made his first-class cricket debut against Canterbury in the 2009/10 season. He took a wicket in senior cricket in his second ball. He has been with the team throughout his career, but his appearances have been limited due to injuries and international service.

He was drafted by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for the 2015 Indian Premier League, but he was unable to participate due to injury; in both the 2016 and 2017 editions of the tournament, he appeared for RCB. Milne signed for Kent County Cricket Club in May 2017 to play in the second half of the 2017 English cricket season. Milne had intended to play for Essex in the 2016 season but had to cancel due to sickness. In June 2017, he made his Kent debut against Nottinghamshire in the 2017 County Championship. In the 2017 NatWest t20 Blast for Kent, he took 28 wickets in five Championship matches and seven matches. With 5/11 against Somerset at Taunton in August, he set a new record for Kent's best bowling in T20 matches, his highest T20 bowling figures. In both the 2018 and 2019 Blasts, he returned to play for Kent.

Milne debuted for the New Zealand Cricket Team in 2010 and, although expensive, his pace impressed critics who characterized him as a long-term match for the national team who could bowl in excess of 150 km/h. He was one of twenty players to be given a new contract by New Zealand Cricket in May 2018.

Milne was acquired by the Mumbai Indians in February 2021 ahead of the 2021 Indian Premier League, but he returned to Kent in June for the 2021 T20 Blast, his fourth stint with the county. During the match against Surrey from the final three balls of the tournament, he scored a hat-trick. Milne was named as injury cover in New Zealand's squad for the 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup in August 2021.

He was purchased by the Chennai Super Kings in February 2022 at the 2022 Indian Premier League tournament, but after a few games, he was dismissed. [6] He was purchased by the Birmingham Phoenix for the 2022 season of The Hundred in England in April 2022.
