As they search through the night to find survivors of earthquakes in Turkey that have killed at least 3,800 people, rescuers are digging using their bare hands. Following a string of tremors, including two measuring 7.8 and 7.5 inches in magnitude, thousands of buildings in Turkey and Syria were flattened on Monday. As the temperature plummets below freezing, there are fears that thousands more people will be killed in the coming days as emergency services fight to save people trapped under the rubble. Many of those people who had been missing for nearly 24 hours had been sleeping in their beds when the first earthquake struck in the early hours of Monday morning, causing complete apartment blocks to crumble and collapse. Any videos from the area show desperate rescuers attempting to free people, including their naked hands. But some came too late, with a sad video revealing the bodies of children and families pulled from the wreckage.
