Aarne Ruben Life

Aarne Ruben (born in Tallinn) is an Estonian writer who has written several books, the most notable being "Volta annab kaeblikku vilet"), about the Russian Revolution of 1905, Lenin, and the fatherl movement in Zürich, mainly based on Estonian history during the twentieth century. The Estonian Novel Foundation awarded him the first prize of the novel competition 2000. "Beast on the Landing," Ruben's second book, "Elajas trepi eelastmel," 2004), transports the reader into a medieval tale. Adolf von Wannevar, the best-known of the Estonian capital Pltsamaa's second son, is the second son of the main hero, Adolf von Wannevar. * Instead of inheriting his father's manor and property, he heads west and becomes a law student at Prague's Charles University. He joins the Council of Constance and becomes a witness to Jan Hus's condemnation and burning. * He finds Hus' dissident fan club and flies to Lübeck, where he works as a lawyer in the Hanseatic merchant association and marries a 14-year-old Lübeck girl. Adolf, a law scholar at the University of Paris, works at the University of Paris in his later years. The medieval possibility of moving in the spaces of various cultures is represented in "Beast on the Landing."
